Answers to your most popular questions

Q: How can I be sure a career in real estate is for me?
A: Real estate is, above all else, a customer service-based business. You will be involved in one of the biggest monetary events in someone's life. Take a moment to review your career objectives. What do you want from your career? Discuss these issues and goals with someone who knows first-hand what the industry is like before you make your decision. Our sales manager will be happy to discuss your career options. Or, ask your favorite Noles-Frye agent. They'll be happy to help you get started and give you the real facts.

Q: What are the requirements to obtain a real estate license?
A: Attend a 90 hour pre-licensing course, pass the real estate examination, interview and choose a Broker to sponsor you(you must work under a licensed broker), pay your local, state, national dues and errors and ommissions insurance.

Q: I have not been in school for years. Am I going to be able to handle this?
A: Of course! It's likely that the majority of people in your classroom will have many of the same feelings you do. You are not alone. Your instructors will understand that, as an adult learner, you have many things happening in your life. They will strive to make it easy for you to accomplish your career goals at a pace that is comfortable for you.

Q: How much money will I make in the real estate industry?
A: As a real estate professional, you are an independent contractor. That means you are basically running your own business. As in any business, you get out of it what you put into it. Talking to brokers and agents will give you a real idea of what is possible.

Q: Is working part-time in the real estate industry possible?
A: The answer to that question varies depending on the broker. If working part-time is important to you, be sure to raise this issue before you commit to a sponsoring broker.

Q: How do I go about finding a broker to sponsor me for the state license exam?
A: Noles-Frye welcomes individuals who are motivated, self-starters with a desire to succeed. Our sales manager would welcome the opportunity to meet with you to discuss your goals so that you can build a mutually satisfying professional relationship with Noles-Frye.

Q: How quickly can I complete the courses?
A: You can attend a 2 week day course from 8am to 5pm, a 6 week night course(three nights per week 5:30 to 9:30) or take a internet course online. We recommend Real Estate School by Roz 318-442-5900 for the live courses or www.burkbaker.com or www.donaldsoneducational.com for the internet courses.

Q: How am I going to compete with experienced agents when I am new to the business?
